Crime scene cleanup handles the biohazard remediation needed after any criminal incident involving blood or bodily fluids – assaults, break-ins, or any scene law enforcement has processed and released. This work requires biohazard certification and careful coordination with property owners or investigators as needed.
We're called by property owners, business managers, and families in Portland, OR after any crime scene that's left contamination behind – a range of incidents beyond just homicide, including assaults and other violent crimes where injury occurred. Work begins only once the investigation is complete and the scene has been officially released.
We assess the scene fully first, since blood and contamination can travel further than what's visible at first glance. The space is contained, contaminated material is removed following biohazard protocols, and salvageable surfaces are treated with hospital-grade disinfectants. We handle odor treatment as part of the full restoration and document our work throughout, which can be useful for insurance purposes.
Cost depends on the size and severity of the scene and how much material needs removal versus in-place treatment.
